Butter-Making Day is about a young girl named Susan and her family on their 1950s farm in Atchison County, Kansas. Just like today, farming then was a lifestyle that required a lot of work and dedication. Susan loved her life on the farm. In addition to working the land, her family raised cattle and chickens.
